Before you arrive:

It is very important to inform our office (e-mail it to: contact@homestayinla.com) of your complete flight arrival information at least one week before your departure. We must know in advance when to expect you for check in so your host can be at home to welcome you. 

The following info is needed:

Name of Student
Date and Time of Arrival
Airline and Flight Number

Your valid passport with the visa
Your I-20 or other paperwork
Your credit card, or travelers checks
If needed translated papers from your doctor
Your home stay information
Your school information
A city guide in your own language
Phone numbers of relatives or friends for emergencies
Your contact phone number for LAX pick up
Your personal belongings
Dictionary

Have a safe trip!

Once you arrive at the airport:

If you requested airport pick up service:  look out for a person with your name.

If you can not see your pick up person, look around, as the airport is very busy and lots of students need to be picked up.  Be patient.

If you still can not find each other, go to the traveler’s information desk, give them your name and they will announce it over the loud speaker.

Be aware, that when your plane lands, it usually takes at least one hour to be processed through the US IMMIGRATION SERVICE.  Your driver might not be there right away.  Just be patient.  Call the emergency phone number for your pick up service and someone will help you.
